Ackley Takes Individual Crown; Lipscomb Sets Women's #ASUNXC Record with Eighth Trophy

FORT MYERS, Fla. - With a herd of five runners in the top-11, Lipscomb captured its record-setting eighth conference title with 31 points at the 2019 ASUN Conference Women's Cross Country Championship at FGCU's Buckingham Complex. Liberty's tandem of Adelyn Ackley and Calli Parlier stole the show individually as the pair crossed the finish line in 17:08.65 and 17:10.72, respectively.

Brooke Kingma, Grace Lahey, Hannah Owens and Lauren Flynt led the way for Lipscomb as the quartet finished in the top-seven to earn First Team All-Conference honors. Kingma and Lahey took third and fourth with times of 17:28.71 & 17:29.19, respectively. Jacksonville's Hayleigh Palotti earned a top-five showing with her time of 17:31.90 ahead of Owens and Flynt in sixth and seventh.

Kennesaw State finished in third place as a team with 116 points ahead of North Florida (118) and North Alabama (122). The Owls were led by Sarah Hendrick (8th; 17:40.40) and Katie Meyer (15th; 18:03.43). UNA placed two runners on the Second Team All-Conference with Phoebe Moon and Kara Nix in 9th and 13th place, while UNF's Grace Gumpel (16th) and Raquel Lespasio (18th) led the way for the Ospreys.
