Liberty's Ackley Tabbed Top Runner, Sweeps Women's #ASUNXC Weekly Honors

ATLANTA, Ga. - Liberty's Adelyn Ackley was named both the ASUN Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week and Freshman of the Week, announced Wednesday by the league office. This marks Ackley's third time this season to earn both awards.

- Third Career Runner of the Week honor; first to win award three times in a season since 2017 (Courtney Brenner, Lipscomb)
- Paced the Flames with a seventh-place finish out of 149 runners at Friday's Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational 6K
- Led the team to a fifth-place overall finish and matched the best placement ever by a Liberty runner at that meet
- Was the only freshman to finish among the top 10 on the day; her 6K time of 20:45.2 makes her the fourth-fastest runner in program history
- Beat runners from regionally ranked Kentucky (No. 7, Southeast Region) and Virginia (No. 10, Southeast Region)
