No. 4 Stetson stuns top seeded FGCU 4-3 on Saturday evening to advance to its first ASUN Championship Final since 2014. The Hatters take on the winner of No. 2 North Florida and No. 3 Lipscomb on Sunday at 1 PM ET, which can be viewed on ESPN+.

Stetson got off to a great start clinching the doubles point over FGCU to give the Hatters an early 1-0 lead. No. 1 pair Danel Ashirova/Lucie Renault defeated Eagles' Maja Ornberg/Julia Ascua 6-1. Then in the No. 2 spot, Arijana Korac/Vicky Geurinckx took down Juilanna Curtis/Laura Falceto Font 6-2.

Moving on into singles action, the ASUN Player of the Year, FGCU's Ornberg beat Stetson's Korac in straight sets 6-1, 6-1 to tie it up 1-1. On Court #3, Ashirova defeated Eagles' Madison Gallegos 6-2, 6-2. Then Falceto Font tied it up for the Eagles again 2-2 with a win over Geurinckx at No. 4. FGCU continued its success as Bridget Forster grabbed a victory at the No. 6 spot over Maxine Bateman putting the Eagles ahead 3-2.

Stetson's Renault gave the Hatters momentum as she tied up the match in the No. 2 spot defeating Ascua in three sets. The focus then shifted to Court #5 as the match remained 3-3, but Stetson's Brooke Milner clinched a trip to the ASUN Championship Final taking down FGCU's Sofia Perez in the third set 6-3. The last time a No. 4 seed defeated a No. 1 seed was Stetson back in 2014 when they beat North Florida 4-3.
