LakePoint, Ga. - On Saturday FGCU Women's Tennis clinched the ASUN Regular Season title outright after blanking Stetson 7-0 at home. Lipscomb and Kennesaw State also earned wins to end the regular season, with the Bisons grabbing their highest ASUN Championship seeding in program history.

After downing North Florida for the No. 1 seed in the ASUN Championship on Thursday, the Eagles needed a victory against Stetson to claim the regular season title outright and they did just that. FGCU blanked the Hatters 7-0 on Saturday clinching the doubles point with help from duos, Julia Ascua/Maja Ornberg and Patricia Villar/Madison Gallegos. The Eagles continued their dominance into singles play as they claimed every match from Stetson. FGCU awaits its opponent in the ASUN Championship as the Eagles have a second round bye being the No. 1 seed.
Lipscomb dominated NJIT 6-1 on Friday to claim its highest seed in the ASUN Championship in program history. The Bisons grabbed the doubles point as teammates, Viktoriya Dzyuba/Denise Buberl and Madeline Brooks/Kateryna Popova won in the No. 1 and 2 spots. Lipscomb's success continued in singles play as it won five out of six matches. The lone singles win for the Highlanders came in Amanda Helminsky as she defeated Thabile Tshatedi in the No. 5 spot. The two squads face off in the first round of the ASUN Championship on Friday, Apr. 20.
Kennesaw State secured the No. 5 seed in the ASUN Championship defeating USC Upstate on Saturday 4-3. The Owls won doubles for the second straight match as Jessica Cantrell and Jada Tijani defeated Morgan Dodd and Elin Hellberg 6-2 at No. 3 doubles. Alexandra Mercado and Aspen Jarrett clinched the point beating Noelia Acuna and Taylor Dodd 6-4 at No. 2 doubles. In singles, Laura Hopton was the first to finish as she rolled to a 6-4, 6-3 win over Vale Zarama at No. 3. Cantrell got past Taylor Dodd. The Owls clinched the victory when Alexandra Mercado took down Carol Sigaki 6-3, 5-7, 6-3. Kennesaw State faces off against No. 4 Stetson on Friday, Apr. 20 in the first round of the ASUN Championship.
