Ospreys Tackle Unbeaten James Madison; Intert Captures Third @ASUNTennis Nod

LakePoint, Ga. - For the third time in her career, North Florida's Luise Intert earned the ASUN Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week accolade, announced Wednesday by the league office.

Intert guided the Ospreys to a 5-2 victory vs. previously unbeaten James Madison (12-1) with a three-set victory at No. 4 singles vs. Emma Petersen (6-3, 3-6, 6-0). At No. 1 doubles, Intert and Rafaela Gomez defeated JMU's tandem of Elizabeth Norman and Diane Flement, 6-1, to clinch the doubles point while her singles win locked up the match. The senior from Germany continued her perfect week with another doubles victory vs. Savannah State (6-0) and led at No. 3 singles (6-4, 4-1) before her match end unfinished as the Ospreys clinched the victory, 4-0.
