    ATLANTA, Ga. – On Monday, 12 ASUN Conference Women's Soccer student-athletes were named to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's All-South Region Teams. FGCU's Lindsey Patton and Evdokia Popadinova joined North Florida's Thais Reiss as First-Team selections. Kennesaw State, Liberty and Lipscomb were also represented with selections to the Second and Third Teams.

The win improves the Owls to 12-7-0 on the season and places them in the championship final for the first time since 2014 where they lost 3-1 to the Eagles.

The Eagles' Evdokia Popadinova was named Player of the Year, while teammate Lindsey Patton earned Defensive Player of the Year honors and Head Coach Jim Blankenship was voted Coach of the Year. Liberty's Melody Jayroe earned Goalkeeper of the Year status and Becky Contreras of Kennesaw State took home the Freshman of the Year award.

Reiss totaled seven points over two UNF victories as she pushed her season point total to 28 and earned the Ospreys the No. 4 seed in the upcoming ASUN Championship, while Eck scored in Lipscomb's 6-0 win at North Alabama as she helped the Bisons to their fourth-straight shutout and a share of their third-straight regular season title.
