LakePoint, Ga.- The fourth week of ASUN Women's Soccer action closes out with wins from Kennesaw State and NJIT. Altogether, ASUN squads scored a total of nine goals on Sunday. The Owls and Highlanders played on home turf, while FGCU, USC Upstate and Lipscomb all competed on the road.

Kennesaw State defeated UNC Asheville 3-0 at home, improving to a 5-1-2 record on the season. The Owls conceded a goal early on in the ninth minute, when freshman Erin Harris capitalized on a cross from Ashtah Das. KSU entered the second-half leading 1-0, and outshooting the Bulldogs 8-3. In the 62nd minute, Jessica Sexton crossed the ball into the 18 yard box resulting in a header goal by Ashtah Das. The Owls' last goal of the match came shortly after in the 69th minute by Jessica Sexton on a breakaway, making it her first of the season. Kennesaw State's next match is against Middle Tennessee Friday, September 15.
NJIT wins its fourth-straight game with a 3-1 victory over Rider, moving the Highlanders to a 4-3 record. NJIT tallied its first goal in the 31st minute, when Rider's goalkeeper attempted a save and Briana Hackos found the back of the net on the rebound with an assist by Noelle Batista. Katrina Nguyen-DeMary scored again in the 84th minute for the Highlanders, recording her first goal of the season. At the 89th minute mark, Arianna Gerber took a long-shot from midfield and secured the win for NJIT.
FGCU fell to Arizona State 2-1 missing opportunities early on in the match. Cassidy Morgan scored the Eagles' lone goal with an assist by Paige Law. USC Upstate headed to Winthrop suffering a 2-1 loss, with Isabella Burns recording her first goal of the season. Lipscomb led Vanderbilt 1-0 in the first half, yet couldn't hold on to the lead losing 3-1. The Bisons' goal came from senior Jade Abarca.
