KENNESAW, Ga. - Second-half goals from Ashtah Das, Kim Fincher, Abby Roth and Brittney Reed sent No. 4 Kennesaw State (10-7-1; 4-3-0 ASUN) to the 2016 ASUN Women's Soccer Championship Semifinals with a 4-1 victory against fifth-seeded Jacksonville. It marks KSU's third semifinal appearance in the past four seasons.
Fincher struck first in the 59th minute as she redirected Carly Pressgrove's blocked shot onto goal for her seventh strike of the season. Roth followed in the 64th as she headed in a Brittney Reed corner kick to give the Owls breathing room at Fifth Third Stadium.
The Owls were awarded a penalty kick in the 72nd minute as Reed added to her point total with a direct attempt into the left corner. Das joined the scoring party in the 77th minute for her first of the season as Pressgrove tallied her second assist on the night.
Jacksonville earned a tally on the scoreboard in the 87th minute on Sope Akindoju's first goal of the season. First Team All-Conference selection Joelle d'Entremont assisted as the the junior forward finished the year with 12 points.
Kennesaw State saw multiple scoring opportunities in the first half but could not capitalize. Jacksonville keeper Sara Wicks collected six saves as the Owls held a 11-3 shot advantage against the Dolphins, six of which were on goal.
No. 4 Kennesaw State advances to face No. 1 FGCU on Friday in the ASUN Championship Semifinals in Fort Myers, Fla. Jacksonville's season ends with a 4-11-1 record after posting a 2-4-1 mark in league play.

- The 10-win season is the first for Kennesaw State since finishing 10-8-1 in the 2012 season.
- The last time Kennesaw State and Jacksonville met in the ASUN Quarterfinals, the Owls came away with a 5-0 victory in Jacksonville.
