LakePoint, Ga. - The 2018 ASUN Conference Women's Lacrosse weekly awards wrap up this week with a little bit of history. Jacksonville's Ashtyn Hiron takes home her seventh career ASUN Player of the Week award this week, adding to her ASUN career lead. It is also Hiron's sixth award of the year, which is also a single-season record. Coastal Carolina's Harley Barrett garners her sixth career ASUN Defensive Player of the Week, which is tied for most all-time, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Hiron capped off a great regular season with a big game against Stetson. The Australia native totaled eight points, with seven goals and an assist against the Hatters. The win propelled Jacksonville to an outright claim of the ASUN Regular Season Title. Her seven goals against Stetson tied a JU single-game record, and it was also her fifth eight-point game this season. This season she leads the nation in free-position percentage at .773, and leads the league in points (77) and points per game (4.81).

Barrett continues her late season dominance, as this is the third time in he last four weeks she takes home the Defensive Player of the Week. Barrett was steady once again in net, as she made six saves and allowed just five goals in Coastal's win over Old Dominion last weekend. Barrett leads the ASUN in save percentage (SV%) at 48.6% and minutes played (931:25). She is also second in the conference in saves made at 154.
