ATLANTA, Ga. - Behind her second career individual medalist performance, Sydney Shrader of North Florida was named the ASUN Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, announced by the league office on Thursday.
At the Pinehurst Challenge, the 2018 All-Conference Second Team member claimed her second career victory with a finish of five-under-par for three rounds, totaling a score of 211 to set a new North Florida record over 54 holes. Her first career event in which she carded every round under par, Shrader led the tournament field with 13 birdies to card final scores of 69, 71 and 71. The only Ospreys' golfer to ever win an individual title, Shrader also claimed the Amelia Island title last year for the program's first individual medal. Shrader's efforts helped UNF to the team title at the Pinehurst Challenge, its first team title of the season and fourth overall in program history.
