Third Meet Win Gives Liberty's Kirwa His Third #ASUNXC Recognition

ATLANTA, Ga. - For the third time in the 2018 season, Liberty's Azaria Kirwa garnered the ASUN Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week accolade, announced Wednesday by the league office.

Kirwa cruised to his third meet victory of the season as he finished 23 seconds ahead of his teammate Felix Kandie at the Queen City Invitational. Kirwa's time of 23:53 helped the Flames to their second meet victory of the season as Liberty claimed the top-four spots in the individual results. The senior runner from Eldoret, Kenya becomes the first Flames runner since Sam Chelanga during the 2009-10 seasons to capture three-straight individual meet titles.
