Kirwa Picks Up Second #ASUNXC Weekly Honor of the 2018 Season

ATLANTA, Ga. - Liberty's Azaria Kirwa earned his second ASUN Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor as the senior grabbed his second-straight meet victory of the 2018 season, announced Wednesday by the league office.

After collecting the USTFCCCA National Runner of the Week honor on Monday, Kirwa became the first multi-award winner from the ASUN in 2018 after his time of 25:01.0 at the Iona College Meet of Champions bested a field of 136 runners, which featured No. 18 Iona and Indiana's All-American, Kyle Mau. He is the first Flames' runner since 2011 to win consecutive races.
