Liberty's Kirwa Opens Season with Program's First #ASUNXC Weekly Accolade

ATLANTA, Ga. - Liberty's Azaria Kirwa collected the first edition of the ASUN Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the 2018 season, announced Wednesday by the league office.

Kirwa won the Virginia Tech Invitational 6K in a time of 18:32.8 as he bested the field of 90 runners. The victory marked the second of his collegiate career as he also helped the Flames earn the team title. Kirwa and Liberty return to action on Sept. 15th at the Winthrop Adidas Invitational on Sept. 15th.
