LakePoint, Ga. - Seven ASUN Conference Men's Cross Country runners claimed top-50 performances at the NCAA Regionals on Friday with North Florida's Nick Morken leading the way in 22nd. Lipscomb, the 2017 ASUN Champions, posted the best team finish with a sixth-place performance at the NCAA South Regional.
Morken registered a time of 31:32.8 just ahead of two Bisons' runners Juan Gonzalez (31:41.5) and Jacob Poyner (31:46.1). Lipscomb's Silas Griffith joined Gonzalez and Poyner in the top-50 with a finish of 39th. In total, Lipscomb placed five runners in the top-60 with William Kachman (57th) and Chase Hampton (58th) joining the fold.
Kennesaw State's Logan Poteet finished in 33rd for the Owls in 31:59.8, while Noah Perkins (42nd) and Tyler Stahl (46th) ran well for the Ospreys, who finished eighth as a team. Competing at the Mid-Atlantic Regional, Blake Brancato's time of 31:41.8 set the program record, while USC Upstate's Dorian Jones registered the top time for USC Upstate in the Southeast Regional in 31:36.6 for 97th place.
Stetson's Arye Beck led the Hatters in Tuscaloosa in 146th at the South Regional, while Carlin Berryhill cracked the top-100 in 88th place.
