2018 ASUN Championship Beach Volleyball Bracket

LakePoint, Ga. - The 2018 ASUN Conference Beach Volleyball season wrapped up over the weekend, as Stetson clinched its fourth straight ASUN Regular Season Title and seeds for the ASUN Championship were set.

Stetson posted another perfect weekend to finish the ASUN regular season with an undefeated conference record. On Friday the Hatters posted victories over the River City schools; a 3-2 victory vs. North Florida and a 5-0 sweep against Jacksonville. Katinka Krahn and Alexa Richardson earned a sweep to clinch the match against North Florida. In the 5-0 victory over JU, the Hatters dropped just one set. On Saturday, Stetson defeated North Florida 4-1 to clinch the ASUN Regular Season Championship and the No. 1 seed at the ASUN Championship next weekend. They also picked up another 5-0 victory against Jacksonville. Darby Dunn and Sammee Thomas completed a dominant regular season, as they finished the conference slate with a 10-0 record, winning 20 of 21 sets. Stetson has now won 23 straight matches against ASUN opponents. 

FGCU's weekend was highlighted by a record-breaking performance from Karissa Rhoades and Katie Puisis. Rhoades and Puisis picked up two victories on Saturday to break the school-record for wins with 16. Overall, the Eagles went 3-1, splitting with North Florida and sweeping Jacksonville. FGCU broke another school record by winning its seventh conference game, breaking the previous record of six which they set last season. The Eagles also clinched the No. 2 seed at the ASUN Championship. North Florida picked up its lone victory of the weekend by defeating FGCU on Friday, 3-2. The Ospreys will be the No. 3 seed in the upcoming ASUN Championships.
