ATLANTA, Ga. - The ASUN Outdoor Track & Field Championship took place May 10 & 11. Liberty took both titles, however, we still have a lot of action remaining with the NCAA East Prelims taking place this weekend as 40 student-athletes look to move on to nationals.

On the men's side, Liberty claimed 11 event titles over the two-day championship to win the conference crown as Alejandro Perlaza Zapata & Azaria Kirwa claimed multiple events. Kennesaw State finished right behind the Flames in second place with top performances from Daniel Haugh & Paris Williams. Zapata, Kirwa & Haugh look to join Williams at the NCAA Championship in Austin, Texas as Paris qualified for the national meet already in the Decathlon.

Liberty captured its first-ever ASUN Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship trophy as the Flames won nine events led by Chelsea Igberaese (Hammer) and Naomi Mojica (Shot). Over the course of the meet, seven meet records fell with Jacksonville's relay squads breaking two. KSU's Jordan Gray, who qualified for the NCAA Heptathlon, won the Championship MVP accolade by racking up a league-best 31 points across five events.
